Lynelle Kuzont is a Massachusetts and Connecticut based visual artist working through abstract expressionism as a means of reflection on the chaotic world she perceives. She is fascinated by the overwhelming size and vibrations of cities, and the concept that behind every window exists a full and complex life. Lynelle is currently working out of her Connecticut based studio.
Working largely with acrylic on canvas, but also with random collage materials, wood, paper, cardboard, organic materials and found objects.
Born in Springfield Massachusetts Lynelle has been a practicing artist since childhood, inquisitive, exploratory and largely self-taught, she also holds a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Westfield State University.
Lynelle is influenced by various artists from the 1940’s Abstract Expressionist movement, as well as the 1980’s Neo-Expressionism movement. She is largely drawn toward the overall feel or emotion of imagery, as opposed to the technicality or realisticness of a piece. Inspired by artwork that evokes a slight nostalgia, or a subconscious emotional connection. Pieces that make you feel curious, familiar, yet intrigued.
